The tuning is up to you. You can play in (almost)Standard Tuning (EADGBD drop the high E to a D) and place the capo on the 2nd fret. I play in the tuning DGCFAC (essentially Standard just dropped a whole step down, also tuning the high D to a C), and place the capo on the 4th fret. Choice is yours.
